Anderkind

The story of teenagers Johannes and Dina unfolds during the flu epidemic of 1918. As the only surviving members of their respective families from farms in the Sandveld, they come across oom Andries, who has also lost his entire family. Together with Lya, who helped raise Johannes, they must survive more challenges - attacks by wild animals, looters and thieves, and the government's policies on orphans and the descent of land.
